چکیده
The demand for joining dissimilar metals has exponentially increased due to the global concerns about climate change, especially electric vehicles in automotive industry. Ultrasonic welding (USW) surges as a very promising technique join metals, providing strength and conductivity, addition avoid metallurgical defects, such formation of intermetallic compounds, brittle phases porosities. However, USW is sensitive process, which depends on many parameters. This work evaluates impact process parameters quality ultrasonic spot welds between copper aluminium plates. weld assessed based tensile joints metallographic examination cross-sections. Furthermore, energy examined different conditions. done evaluate influence each parameter heat input resulting from friction at interface quality. From obtained results, it was possible optimise achieve satisfactory 1.0 mm thick Al–Cu plate terms mechanical properties.

متن کاملMicrostructure and mechanical characteristics of dissimilar aluminium alloy joining employing gas tungsten arc welding
Despite the increased use of aluminium alloys in several industries, their common concern is the difficulty of joining dissimilar alloys using welding techniques. Based on this, the primary purpose of this research is to assess the mechanical characteristics of dissimilar joining of heat-treatable 6061 and non-heat-treatable 5083 aluminium alloys by gas tungsten arc welding and to discover the ...
متن کاملFemtosecond fiber laser welding of dissimilar metals.
In this paper, welding of dissimilar metals was demonstrated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, by using a high-energy high-repetition-rate femtosecond fiber laser. Metallurgical and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed under various processing parameters (pulse energy, repetition rate, and welding speed). Results showed that the formation of intermetallic brittle...

متن کاملDevelopment of Compositions of Aluminium Welding Fluxes Using Statistical Method
This paper describes the process of developing a model that relates the shear stresses in a gas welded aluminium alloy weldment with the corresponding flux constituent elements that make up the flux composition. This model, considering the initial composition ranges, from where 13 flux compositions were formulated and their shear stresses determined and transformed into a model. This model was ...
